JAK ESKİNAZİ: FREIGHT PRICES MAKE TURKEY LUCRATIVE

Press release…

Pointing out that the focus of importers, especially from Europe and the USA, to Turkey instead of the Far East, due to the post-pandemic freight and raw material prices, had a positive effect on the export figures, Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) Coordinator Chair Jak Eskinazi expressed that they expect export increases to continue in the last two months of 2021.

Emphasizing that they believe that they will easily reach the export figure of 16 billion dollars that they have determined for the end of 2021, Eskinazi said, “We aim to export 18 billion dollars for 2022. We will continue to develop projects on sustainability-oriented Innovation, R&D, Design and Digitalization for value-added exports.”

Eskinazi added that the ratio of the Aegean Region’s exports to imports has reached 140 percent and that Turkey’s foreign trade surplus target has been realized in the Aegean Region.
