Izmir Technology Centre starts to receive project applications…

Izmir Agriculture Technology Centre (ITTM), established under the leadership of Izmir Commodity Exchange (ITB) with the support of the public and private sectors, has started accepting applications for projects to be carried out in the field of smart agricultural technologies. The centre, which will operate within the scope of KOSGEB Technology Development Centre (TEKMER) Support Programme, aims to pave the way for innovation and digital transformation in the agricultural sector.

The announcement of the project was made at a press conference held in Istanbul. In the statement, it was stated that smart agricultural applications will be tested and developed in a real-life environment, with real users and products. It was stated that ITTM, which will operate within the International Agricultural Research and Training Centre (Menemen, İzmir), one of the institutes of the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, aims to develop agricultural technologies together with the private sector, public sector, academia and agricultural producers.

Applications will be received via ITTM’s website and the projects will be submitted to the approval of the TEKMER Executive Committee in line with the report to be prepared by the evaluation board. Approved projects will have the right to benefit from incentives and supports.

SUPPORT FOR TECHNOLOGY-ORIENTED INITIATIVES IN AGRICULTURE…

In addition to entrepreneurial enterprises carrying out research and development activities with a focus on agricultural information technologies, agricultural machinery manufacturers, researchers and R&D companies will also be able to take part in ITTM.
