Stating that the domestic market in Türkiye consumes mainly peach, apricot, sour cherry and orange juices, Hayrettin Uçak, chairperson of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, said that a large part of the country’s concentrate (semi-finished product) exports of 303 million dollars comes from apple juice concentrate.

Informing that apple juice concentrate gets 53 percent share from total exports, Uçak said, “While orange juice is 16 million dollars, grape juice, tropical fruit juices, pomegranate, black carrot concentrate are among Türkiye’s highly competitive products.”
Pointing out that the per capita consumption of fruit juice in Europe is around 20 kg, Uçak continued as follows: “Fruit juice consumption in Türkiye is around 10 kg. Our fruit juice sector has the potential to grow both in exports and in the domestic market. In 2028, we foresee that the country’s foreign exchange earnings from fruit juice exports will reach 1 billion dollars.”
Highlighting that the diversity of fruit production in Türkiye provides a basis for fruit juice investments, Uçak added that the fruit juice sector will develop and maintain its export championship in the fruit and vegetable products sector in the coming years.

USA, Netherlands and Italy are the top three countries…
While Türkiye exported 574 million dollars of fruit juice in 2024, the country to which Türkiye exported the most fruit juice was the United States of America with 243 million dollars. The USA, which demanded 196 million dollars of Turkish fruit juice in 2023, increased its demand by 24 percent in 2024.
The second country in fruit juice exports was the Netherlands, which increased from 36.5 million dollars to 67.6 million dollars with an 85 percent increase in exports. Italy was on the third step of the summit with 26.5 million dollars…
