Hamza Bölük, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Hazelnut Council (NFC), said, ‘It is predicted that the estimated hazelnut yield, which was 650 thousand tonnes in 2023, will be 738 thousand 931 tonnes in 2024 with a surge of 14 percent.’
Hamza Bölük, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Hazelnut Council, made a written statement regarding the hazelnut yield for 2024. In his statement, Bölük stated that the National Hazelnut Council was given the task of announcing the estimated hazelnut yield for 2024 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
Highlighting that they find it positive for the council to carry out this task given by the Ministry, Bölük noted, “All members of the institutions and organisations in the Hazelnut Yield Estimation Commissions have determined the hazelnut yield for 2024 by signing the results of the determination studies.”
Bölük also gave more information regarding the 2024 yield and added, “As a result of the studies carried out throughout the country by the Commissions for the Estimation of Hazelnut Yield, which is the most important export product of our country; It is predicted that the estimated hazelnut yield, which was 650 thousand tonnes in 2023, will be 738 thousand 931 tonnes in 2024 with an increase of 14 percent. We wish that it will bring abundant and abundant earnings to our producers, our country and the sector.”
