Turkish honey is saturated with awards in the international arena!
Türkiye’s honey producers have achieved a great success at the London Honey Awards, which provides the opportunity to offer reliable and high quality honey to consumers while objectively measuring the product quality of the competitors with the evaluation made by sensory analysis method.
The London Honey Awards, one of the most prestigious honey competitions in the world, held in London, the capital of England, on 19-20 May 2024, made a great impact around the world this year. Honey producers from Türkiye successfully represented the country by participating in the competition in the quality category.
The award ceremony held in Istanbul reinforced Türkiye’s determination and success in becoming a global brand in honey production and was a great source of morale and motivation for the producers.
“Good Beekeeping and Sustainable Beekeeping are supported”
Emre Yıldırım, General Coordinator of Apimaye, which hosted the ceremony, said that Türkiye’s achievements at the London Honey Awards have once again demonstrated how advanced the country is in the beekeeping sector.
“The various innovation awards we have won within the scope of TÜBİTAK-supported projects and the support we give to ‘Good Beekeeping’ and ‘Sustainable Beekeeping’ practices are an important indicator of our contributions to the beekeeping sector as APİMAYE. We are proud to host such prestigious organisations. Such events are of great importance in order to promote both innovations and good practices in the sector,” Yıldırım said.
