Engin Er: Growtech.Antalya marked by India and China!

Companies from China and India, which have both the world’s largest populations and largest agricultural production, left their mark on this year’s 24th GROWTECH.ANTALYA.

China led the way with 140 companies participating in the national pavilion at GROWTECH.ANTALYA, which will last for four days and feature 725 companies from 36 countries, while India also took its place at the fair with 30 companies.

Expressing that they face increasing demand every year, Fair Director Engin Er said that 45 percent of participants came from abroad and that countries such as Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Korea and Japan also attracted intense interest with their stands after China and India.

THE WORLD’S TWO LARGEST AGRICULTURAL COUNTRIES…

Underlining that China and India, with a total of 170 companies, have a significant presence at the fair, he noted, “These two countries are gaining momentum in the global economy. With their investments in agriculture and populations exceeding one billion, they are the two most important agricultural countries. They are participating in the fair with more companies every year. Both countries have now reached their highest figures in the last 24 years.”

“These two countries alone account for over 20 percent of the participating companies at the fair. They are major producers within the global agricultural sector. They sell their products worldwide, particularly in fertilisers, pesticides and seeds. They are also among the leading countries dominating the global market in areas such as mechanisation, agricultural machinery and irrigation,” he added…
