“We gained momentum in exports with the opening of the Chinese market”
Making statements about the export of the animal products industry, Istanbul Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association (İSHİB) Chairman of the Board, Müjdat Sezer, stated that there was an important development that made the sector happy in the first quarter of the year.
Noting that the opening of the Chinese market in dairy products since the beginning of the year will greatly strengthen the export performance of the sector,
Sezer added, “With the opening of the Chinese market for dairy products, we have gained a rapid export momentum. We can see this in export figures. We exported 16.3 thousand tonnes of products worth 17.4 million dollars in January-March period to China, where we provide foreign currency inflow. With these figures, the People’s Republic of China became our biggest market in dairy products exports.”
