Türkiye to Participate in the 62nd Damascus Fair with a National Stand…
Under the coordination of the Ministry of Trade, the General Secretariat of the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’ Association will organize a national stand participation in the 62nd Damascus International Fair, which will be held at the Syria International Fair Centre from August 27 to September 5, 2025. The fair, which has generated excitement in the Turkish business community, will play a critical role in developing trade relations between the two countries and realizing investment opportunities.

“A meeting point for all sectors seeking to develop supplier relationships”
Celal Kadooğlu, Head of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Syria Desk and President of the Southeastern Anatolia Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association, noted the recent increase in trade relations with Syria. He assessed Türkiye’s promotional strategy at the fair, which the new Syrian Administration attaches great importance to:
“This fair, shaped by the themes of Syria’s reconstruction, sustainability and the establishment of new business partnerships, is not only a gathering where products are showcased; it also stands out as an important platform for diplomatic and economic dialogue. The event, which offers Türkiye the opportunity to strengthen its existing exports and play a direct role in Syria’s reconstruction, offers valuable opportunities for all sectors seeking new markets and to develop supplier relationships.”
“Extra opportunities for the food industry”
Kadooğlu stated that sustainable production, healthy resources, and new processing techniques will also be discussed at the fair.
“We believe our sector will gain significant visibility in Damascus with its focus on grain processing, bakery products and grain-based healthy food solutions. The emphasis on sustainability, in particular, will provide the grain sector with a strong showcase for environmentally friendly production methods, water and energy efficiency, waste management and traceable supply chains. We are confident that our exporters seeking to expand into the Middle East and African markets will consider this fair a strategic point of contact to establish regional collaborations and diversify their trade channels,” he concluded…
