Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that Aydın Söke cotton has received the European Union (EU) geographical indication registration.
In a statement made on his social media account, Minister İbrahim Yumaklı said, “Our 4th product that crossed the borders from the Aegean province of Aydın, the land of fertile lands, was Söke cotton. The number of registered products hiked to 27 with Söke cotton, which received geographical indication registration from the EU. Our geographically marked products will continue to add fertility to the fertile lands of their regions. I do wish good luck.”
