WorldFood Istanbul International Food Products and Technologies Fair, which has grown by 75 percent in recent years and reached an area of 40 thousand square metres and visited by 80 thousand people this year, is rapidly running to the size of ANUGA and Dubai Gulfood Fairs, the world’s largest food fairs.
Worldfood Istanbul International Food Products and Technologies Fair, which was supported by the Turkish Food Platform, established by the Cereals Pulses Oil Seeds Sector Board, which carrying out 48 percent of Turkish food exports, brought together buyers and exporters of vegetable oils, bakery products, pasta, meat, poultry and dairy products and spices, with a focus on basic food products and sugary products on 3-6 September 2024.

Stating that WorldFood Istanbul International Food Products and Technologies Fair has also observed a significant change in the visitor profile in 2024, Muhammet Öztürk, Chair of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, emphasised that importers from countries such as the USA, Canada and Japan showed great interest in the fair, which was attended by visitors from the Middle East and African countries in previous years.

Pointing out that WorldFood Istanbul International Food Products and Technologies Fair will become more efficient for Turkish exporters with the increase in international participation, Öztürk continued his words as follows: “As the Turkish Food Platform, we organise buyer delegation organisations and provide strength through tasting events at our stands. More than 100 members of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB), the leader of food exports in Türkiye, opened booths this year and promoted Turkish export products.”
