Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB), taking into account the intensive applications from exporter members operating in the food sector, organised a Food Sectoral Trade Delegation to the United Arab Emirates, which is a potential market for the exporters of the region.
The trade delegation programme, which was carried out with the participation of food exporters operating in our region for the Dubai Emirate of the United Arab Emirates, which is the trade and logistics centre of the Middle East, was implemented on 19-22 February 2024 with the coordination of the Ministry of Trade.
Ahmet Hamdi Gürdoğan, Vice Chair of DKİB, said, “On the first day of the delegation programme, which was attended by 29 representatives from 19 companies operating in our region, the delegation participated in the VIP breakfast event organised by the Dubai Chamber of Trade and Industry and then visited the Gulfood fair, one of the most prestigious food fairs in the world and observed the latest trends and developments in the food sector on site.”
Pointing out that on the second day of the delegation, bilateral business meetings were organised and the companies came together with importers operating in Dubai, he added, “While 95 representatives from 55 companies participated in the bilateral business meetings, more than 100 business meetings were held between the companies of the two countries. On the third day of the delegation, our companies trying to improve their relations with the buyers contacted in bilateral business meetings visited the Gulfood fair again and held individual meetings.”
