According to data compiled by an Anadolu Agency (AA) correspondent from the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association (DKİB), Turkish salmon—raised in inland farms until reaching a certain weight before being transferred to Black Sea sea cages—found buyers in 37 countries during the January–September period.
In this context, salmon exports totaling 65,302 tonnes generated 431,167,051 dollars in revenue during these nine months.
During the same period last year, salmon exports of 55,729 tonnes had generated 368,877,760 dollars in earnings. Thus, Turkish salmon exports soared by 17 percent in both value and volume compared to the same period of the previous year.
Russia, Belarus and Vietnam were the top destinations for Turkish salmon sales during this period.
Between January and September, Türkiye sold 288,463,723 dollars worth of salmon to Russia, 60,072,085 dollars to Belarus and 17,777,796 dollars to Vietnam…
