Seafood exports from the Black Sea region reached 186,484,476 dollars in the first six months of the year.

According to information compiled by an Anatolian Agency (AA) reporter from data provided by the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association (DKİB), the Black Sea region, which has made a name for itself in seafood exports, exported to 28 countries in the first half of the year.
Between January and June, 24,193 tonnes of fisheries were exported from the region, generating 186,484,476 dollars in revenue.
In the same period last year, 23,330 tonnes were exported for 167,049,467 dollars. Thus, Black Sea seafood exports increased by 4 percent in quantity and 12 percent in value compared to the same period last year.
The highest demand for seafood came from Russia, Greece, and Belarus.
In the first half of the year, seafood products from the Black Sea were sold to Russia for 59,780,278 dollars, to Greece for 29,042,910 dollars and to Belarus for 25,849,502 dollars.
Unlike the same period last year, sales were also made to the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Portugal, Australia, Lebanon and Ireland…
