Established on 16 April 1999, the Turkish Mineral Water Producers’ Association (MASUDER) represents the mineral water sector in Türkiye and with a total of 21 members, including 14 producer companies, accounts for 80 percent of mineral water production in our country.

Our association is a member of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Beverages Council and the Federation of Food and Drink Industry Associations of Türkiye (TGDF) in our country and the European Federation of Natural Mineral Waters (Natural Mineral Waters Europe) abroad.
Mineral water is one of the healthiest beverages available to consumers, with a high mineral content. Our mineral water sources have a much richer mineral content than mineral waters in Europe. While leading mineral water brands in Europe contain 400-900 mg of minerals per litre, mineral water sources in Türkiye contain 1500 mg and above due to their rich geographical structure. This is one of Türkiye’s significant advantages over Europe.
At MASUDER, we aim to communicate this advantage to consumers. To this end, in November 2024, our association held the 3rd International Mineral Water Congress with the theme ‘A Lifetime of Mineral Water’. The congress, attended by local and foreign scientists, nutritionists and industry representatives who are experts in their fields, provided information on the contributions of mineral water to human health as well as the work of the mineral water industry.

In 2024, our sector contributed to the national economy by reaching a volume of 2 billion litres in the natural mineral water and fruit-flavoured mineral water categories.
Annual per capita mineral water consumption in Türkiye is around 24 litres. Fruit-flavoured mineral water, which is widely consumed in Turkey, enables children to become familiar with mineral water at an early age thanks to its fruit flavour. Fruit-flavoured mineral waters produced from Türkiye’s high-mineral mineral waters in 200 ml glass bottles are not only healthy but also help prevent obesity by enabling portion control. We believe that awareness and consumption of healthy, high-mineral natural mineral water will increase even more in the coming years.
