The Sustainable Food and Drink Industry Association (SÜGİD) is a stakeholder platform established to support the sustainability transformation of the agriculture-based food and beverage industry. By bringing together a wide range of actors, from industrial organizations to academia, public institutions to civil society representatives, the association pioneers the integration of environmental, economic and social sustainability principles into the sector.

SÜGİD’s primary goal is to promote sustainability awareness across the sector and in this regard, encourage knowledge sharing, multi-stakeholder collaborations and science-based approaches. Contributing to legal regulations, strengthening sectoral data and raising awareness about food safety and environmental protection are also among the association’s areas of activity.
One of SÜGİD’s primary areas of focus is supporting the transition to sustainable production models for companies that process fruits and vegetables on an industrial scale and play an active role in both the domestic market and exports.
SÜGİD’s vision is: By making sustainable agriculture and food production a norm adopted by all stakeholders, the association aims to create an ecosystem that holistically supports food security, environmental protection, and economic development in Türkiye and globally. The association prioritizes not only today’s needs but also the needs of tomorrow, assuming responsibility for future generations.
Consequently, SÜGİD continues to contribute to the long-term vision of the food and beverage sector, embracing sustainability as a necessity, not a choice.
