Speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors of Aydın Nazilli and Surroundings Agricultural Development Cooperative (ÖR-KOOP), Chairman Ünal Önal announced that they have declared 2024 as the ‘year of investment and opportunity’.
Nazilli and Surroundings Agricultural Development Cooperative (ÖR-KOOP), one of the largest Agricultural Development Cooperatives in Türkiye, whose facility investments and production have increased with the number of partners since its establishment in 1979, has turned the crisis in the dairy sector since last March into investment and opportunity. The members of the board of directors, who aim to enhance the feature of being the only co-operative with a feed production facility in the country with UHT technology, SPP and many other investments, announced that they declared 2024 as the ‘year of investment and opportunity’.
“WE EXPERIENCED THE BIGGEST CRISIS OF THE LAST 40-45 YEARS IN THE SECTOR”
Stating that they managed to overcome the biggest crisis of the last 40 years with strategic moves, Chairman Ünal Önal said, “During the crisis period that started in early March, which has never been experienced in the dairy sector for years this year, our cooperative did not sell any of its assets such as 110 decares of land and 56 vehicles and similar assets, on the contrary, it purchased a 2022 model Ford Cargo 10-wheel Carrier brand refrigerated vehicle for 3.1 million TL and a 2023 model Ford Transit brand vehicle required for milk collection. Our co-operative has no SSI, tax debt. At no time, concordatum, trustee and similar events have never been experienced in our co-operative.”
