Chicken meat production in Türkiye fell 3.7% in 2023 on an annual basis, the country’s statistical authority announced Wednesday.
Chicken meat production totaled 2.3 million tonnes in 2023, while turkey meat production dropped 11.3% to 47,575 tonnes, a Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) report said.
The figure for slaughtered chicken was 1.27 million units, down 5.7% over the same period, the institute noted.
