Global production of seedless raisins, of which Türkiye is the world leader in production and export, decreased by 7 percent in 2025, from 1,157,000 tonnes to 1,079,000 tonnes.
Global raisin exports are projected to reach 486,802 tonnes in 2025. Türkiye will account for 30 percent of global raisin exports with 145,000 tonnes, maintaining its leading position. The Seedless Raisin Producing Countries Conference, the global advisory body for raisins, convened in South Africa from November 18-21, 2025.

The Aegean Exporters’ Association Sustainability and Organic Products Coordinator and Chair of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association stated that the decline in raisin production in the Northern Hemisphere was due to the climate crisis. He stated that production in the Northern Hemisphere decreased by 23 percent, from 908,186 tonnes to 701,410 tonnes, while production in the Southern Hemisphere soared by 22 percent, from 178,425 tonnes to 217,850 tonnes.
Highlighting that Türkiye, the global leader in seedless raisin production and exports, will maintain its leadership in 2025 with a production of 165,000 tonnes Işık added, “Global exports of 486,802 tonnes of seedless raisins are projected in 2025. With an export target of 145,000 tonnes, Türkiye will capture a 30 percent share of global exports and maintain its clear leadership in exports.”
