Turkish aquaculture and animal products sector is happy by exceeding 2.5 billion dollars in exports in the last year.
The Turkish aquaculture and animal products sector, which aims to export 3 billion dollars in 2023, carried its exports from 2 billion 436 million dollars to 2 billion 523 million dollars with an increase of 4 percent in the period of April 1, 2020 – March 31, 2021.
While the fisheries sector took the lion’s share in Fisheries and Animal Products Exports with an amount of 1 billion 108 million dollars, the poultry sector contributed 773.5 million dollars to the record, including 496 million dollars from poultry meat and 277.6 million dollars from egg exports. The dairy industry, which received an export visa to China, brought 310 million dollars of foreign currency to the country, while honey exports amounted to 25 million dollars. Other products included in the aquaculture and animal products sector, on the other hand, demonstrated an export performance of 306 million dollars.

The Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association managed to get the largest share of the 2.5 billion dollars export realized by the Turkish aquaculture and animal products sector in the last 1-year period, with an amount of 1 billion 25 million dollars.
The Association delivers a wide range of products from Turkish salmon to chicken, eggs to cheese, butter to honey, intestines to sea eggplant, mussels to tuna, sea bass to trout, sea bream to rock bass to all over the world.
The Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association has also succeeded in becoming the fourth body within the Aegean Exporters’ Association, with an annual export exceeding 1 billion dollars.
