Karavelioğlu: We increased our agricultural machinery exports 20 times in 17 years
Kutlu Karavelioğlu, President of the Machinery Exporters’ Association (MAİB), stated that agricultural machinery is a sector that attracts foreign capital to the country and that exports of agricultural machinery increased by 20 times in 17 years.
Speaking at the opening of the AgriVirtual Agriculture and Livestock Machinery Fair, Karavelioğlu said, “The manufacture of agricultural machinery is an industry, attracting foreign capital at high level and also has foreign trade surplus for a long time in Turkey”.
Karavelioğlu stated, “Scientific research shows that Turkey’s most competitive products in the international trade is machinery. Our industry confirms this determination with its performance in all product groups. Agricultural machinery are among our product groups with the highest rate of increase in exports. The average annual increase in exports in the agricultural machinery sector is 18-19 percent. We have increased our exports 20 times in the last 17 years in this field where technology, efficiency and performance are very important.”
