TURKEY’S ORGANIC NETWORK TO START AS OF TODAY…

Turkey’ Organic Network will be established on July 20…

Ecological Agriculture Organization Association (ETO) Chairwoman Professor Dr. Uygun Aksoy said that they support the organic movement to be more active and integrated.

Dr. Aksoy stated, “We support IZFAS (Izmir Fair Company, an affiliate of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality) scientifically and technically at the Ecology Fair. Actually we support every platform that the organic industry can develop. We have been trying to accelerate ecology for years. GMO seeds are not used in our country and Turkey’s first organic cotton began in the Aegean region.”

Pointing out that they are one step ahead in both food and textile, Dr. Aksoy explained, “Associations operating in the organic sector across Turkey have launched an initiative to create a network. As of July 20, we will establish the Organic Network. The support of companies and industry stakeholders is very important for fairs. We need to keep the dynamics of the industry alive. We will keep the ecology alive. Everyone has to contribute. It is important that organic producers and certified producers participate.”

“If participation costs are low, there may be liveliness. Clustering efforts should also be concentrated,” Dr. Aksoy added…
