TURKISH ENVIRONMENT AGENCY TO BE ESTABLISHED…

The agency will function on the circular economy and zero waste practices.

A bill of law was submitted for the establishment of Turkish Environment Agency under the authority of Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation.

The agency, according to the bill of law, submitted to Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) on October 12, 2020, will operate on circular economy and zero-waste approach in line with resource efficiency and to increase national scale deposit management system establishment.

In the regulation, the Deposit Management System is defined as “the system determined by the Ministry and based on the return of the product after consumption / use of the products put on the market with a certain deposit fee and the refund of the deposit amount”.
