The Aegean Region’s record-breaking export growth was achieved by the cereals, pulses and oilseeds sector.

The cereals, pulses and oilseeds sector in the Aegean Region is steadily progressing toward its 1.1 billion dollars export target.
The Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association has set an export target of 1.2 billion dollars for 2026.
The Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association ramped up its exports by 15 percent between January 1 and October 15, 2025, from 787 million to 910 million dollars. This represents the highest export increase among the 12 exporters’ associations within the Aegean Exporters’ Association (EIB).

Muhammet Öztürk, Chair of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association, stated that the vegetable oil sector holds a leading position with a 15 percent export growth rate, reaching 452 million dollars in exports. He emphasized that they have recorded significant increases in soybean oil, sunflower seeds, cocoa spreads, animal feed, wafers and chocolate items and that they are confidently progressing towards their 1.1 billion dollars export target for the end of 2025.

“Our chocolate confectionery exports surged by 18 percent, reaching 80 million dollars. Our oilseed exports surged by 18 percent, reaching 59 million dollars. Our confectionery exports, on the other hand, surged by a remarkable 96 percent, reaching 17 million dollars,” he said…
