Press release…
The cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector, which holds the leading export position in Southeastern Anatolia with a 29.9 percent share of total exports, saw its exports increase by 4 percent to 2.3 billion dollars between January and August. This year, stocks nearing depletion in Ukraine and Russia and the supply shortage in global markets caused our sunflower oil export unit prices to rise by over 23 percent,” he said.
“These price hikes also led to a strong 17.3 percent rise in Türkiye’s sunflower oil export revenues. Ongoing drought concerns for the new season suggest that prices may remain high in the coming months,” he added…
