Turkish fisheries and animal products sector wants to grow in the New World market…

The Turkish Fisheries and Animal Products Sector, which works with all its strength to meet the protein needs of humanity for three meals, aims to grow in the American market in exports. The sector endeavours to ramp up its exports of 123.4 million dollars to 500 million dollars in 2023.
Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association, which alone carries out 43 percent of Türkiye’s exports in the aquaculture and animal products sector, participated in the Winter Fancy Food Show Fair held in Las Vegas between 21-23 January 2024 and promoted Turkish aquatic products. It prepared the ground for the sector to make new commercial connections.

Sinan Kızıltan, Chairman of the Turkish Fisheries and Animal Products Sector Board, who informed that their exports to the United States of America soared from 105 million dollars to 123.4 million dollars with an increase of 18 percent in 2023, said that the annual food imports of the USA are 215 billion dollars and the imports of aquaculture and animal products are 38 billion dollars.
