Promotions continue uninterrupted…
Turkiye Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Associations Sector Board Chairman Sinan Kızıltan said that the promotional activities continue uninterruptedly for the promotion of healthy and safe foods produced by the Turkish fisheries and animal products industry around the world.
Kızıltan indicated that they continue TURQUALITY projects in the Far East and USA markets and that they are in an effort to boost their export volumes by participating in fairs all over the world, from China to the USA, from Russia to France, from Spain to Uzbekistan.
While Turkiye exported aquaculture and animal products to 142 countries in 2021, Iraq ranked first with 555 million dollars. The Russian Federation, which stands out especially with the demand for Turkish salmon, demanded 259 million dollars of Turkish aquaculture and animal products with an increase of 84 percent in 2021. Italy, one of the traditional export markets of the sector; With an export of 164 million dollars, it settled in the third step of the summit.
Fisheries exports run to 1.5 billion dollars…
Pointing out that the exports of the Turkish fisheries and animal products industry in the last 12 months were 3 billion 590 million dollars, Kızıltan added, “The aquaculture industry made the biggest contribution with 1 billion 436 million dollars of exports. The seafood industry was followed by the poultry meat and egg industry with an export of 1 billion 312 million dollars. While poultry meat exported 926 million dollars, our egg export rose to 386 million dollars.”
“The dairy products sector, which was encouraged by the export visa it received to China, showed an export performance of 486 million dollars. While the honey sector brought 33 million dollars to Turkiye, 303 million dollars of foreign exchange was obtained from the export of other products,” Kızıltan concluded…
