Selçuk İskender, Chair of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB), announced that exports from the Eastern Black Sea Region, comprising the provinces of Trabzon, Rize, Artvin and Gümüşhane, amounted to 678,195,89 dollars in the January–April 2026 period. “Of the exports from our Eastern Black Sea Region in the first four months of 2026, 501,108,000 dollars originated from Trabzon, 82,942,000 dollars from Rize, 61,928,000 dollars from Gümüşhane and 32,218,000 dollars from Artvin,” he said.

In the January–April 2026 period, the sectors with the highest exports from the provinces of Trabzon, Rize, Artvin and Gümüşhane were: Hazelnuts at 352 million 720 thousand dollars, Minerals and Metals at 122 million 280 thousand dollars, Fishery and Livestock Products at 65 million 759 thousand dollars and Fresh Fruit and Vegetables at 56 million 392 thousand dollars,” he noted.
Pointing out that exports from our Eastern Black Sea Region were made to 107 different countries in the first four months of 2026, with the top five export destinations being, in order: Italy, the Russian Federation, Georgia, Germany and France, he added, “Unlike the same period last year, exports were also made to 13 additional countries: the Philippines, El Salvador, Indonesia, Argentina, Portugal, Sudan, Slovakia, Guyana, the Maldives, the Marshall Islands, Barbados, Turkmenistan and The Gambia.”
