In the January-October period of 2025, 206,000 tonnes of hazelnuts were exported from Türkiye, generating a foreign exchange inflow of 1.813 billion dollars. Compared to the same period of the previous year, these exports decreased by 19 percent in quantity and 12 percent in value.

Sebahattin Arslantürk, Deputy Chairman of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB) Hazelnut and Hazelnut Products Sector Committee, stated that Türkiye exported to 120 different countries in the first 10 months of the year, with the top five export destinations being Germany, Italy, France, Poland and the Netherlands.
Arslantürk noted that 17,304 tonnes of hazelnuts were exported in the second month of the hazelnut export season, which began in September, generating a foreign exchange inflow of 205,097 million dollars. “The exports, compared to the same month of the previous year, there was a 56 percent decrease in quantity and 36 percent in value,” he said.
Arslantürk also provided information about hazelnut exports from Trabzon province, stating that 55,756 tonnes of hazelnuts exported from the province in the first 10 months of 2025 generated a foreign exchange inflow of 500,377,000 dollars. Compared to the same period of the previous year, there was a 22 percent decrease in quantity and a 19 percent decrease in value. Underlining that Trabzon province ranks second in hazelnut exports, he added, “28 percent of hazelnut exports from the country between January and October 2025 were from Trabzon province.”
“In the second month of the hazelnut export season, 2,449 tonnes, equivalent to 28,537,000 dollars, were exported from Trabzon, a decrease of 75 percent in quantity and 19 percent in value compared to the same period of the previous season,” he concluded…
