Pınar Meat continues to reduce its environmental impact with sustainability-based investments…

Pınar Meat (Et) invested 439.4 million Turkish Liras in 2024, undertaking significant work in renewable energy, water efficiency, waste management, logistics optimization and sustainable packaging.

With the solar panels it commissioned, Pınar Meat covered 8 percent of its total electricity consumption in 2024. Through its sustainable logistics practices, it used 150,438 litres less fuel in the last 12 months, reducing carbon emissions by 397 tonnes.

As Türkiye’s first privately owned integrated meat plant, Pınar Meat has consistently maintained its identity as a responsible producer since its founding. It is working to achieve its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050.

Pınar Meat aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent and its water footprint by 15 percent by the end of 2030.

Pınar Meat General Manager Hüseyin Demir stated that they have successfully implemented a circular economy model with an integrated waste assessment system thanks to their sustainable production approach, emphasizing their contribution to sustainable development goals through the efficient use of resources.

“In 2024, we invested 439.4 million TL in renewable energy, water efficiency, waste management, logistics optimization and sustainable packaging. From solar power plant investments to water density control and from integrated waste systems to logistics savings, we are working to minimize carbon emissions in every area,” he noted.
