As part of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association, 10 exporting firms took part with stands at the America’s Food & Beverage Show, held in Miami, Florida, USA, from 14 to 16 September 2026.
Within the context of the programme organised under the UR-GE Project, the exporting firms established direct contact with international buyers at the fair, whilst Turkish food products were also introduced to industry professionals through the ‘Turkish Tastes’ tasting event. The delegation also conducted on-site research into the US food retail market, assessing consumer trends, product positioning and competitive conditions.
Muhammet Öztürk, Coordinating Chairman of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations and Chairman of the Board of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses and Oilseeds Exporters’ Association, stated that over the course of three days, their companies not only established new business connections at the fair but also had the opportunity to examine the structure of the USA food market first-hand.
“The USA is one of the markets with high potential for the Turkish food sector. Türkiye’s exports of cereals, pulses, oilseeds and their products to the US reached 885 million dollars in 2025, marking a 36 percent spike,” he said.
“Our Association’s exports to the USA, meanwhile, rose by 69 percent in 2025 to 50 million dollars. Between January and August 2026, the sector’s exports from the country as a whole soared by 4 percent to 596 million dollars. We aim to raise the sector’s exports to the US from Türkiye as a whole to over 1 billion dollars,” he added…
