Turkish dried fruit sector travelled to India to reach the export target of 2 billion dollars!

The Turkish dried fruit sector has kicked off the TURQUALITY Project named ‘TURKISH DRIED FRUITS’ in order to strengthen its position in India, which it has identified as a target market, and to ramp up its exports from 1.8 billion dollars in 2024 to 2 billion dollars in 2025.

Three exporters’ associations in the dried fruit sector joined forces in the TURQUALITY Project named “TURKISH DRIED FRUITS” in order to raise the awareness and consumption of Turkish dried fruits, especially sultanas, dried apricots, dried figs and pistachios, which Türkiye is the world leader in production and exports.

India was selected as the target market in the ‘TURKISH DRIED FRUITS’ TURQUALITY Project. Known for their superior quality, rich taste and comprehensive health benefits, Turkish Dried Fruits were introduced in India with a spectacular launch.

Speaking at the launch organised in cooperation with the Turkish Dried Fruits Sector Board and the Nuts and Dried Fruits Council of India (NDFCI), Osman Öz, Chairman of the Turkish Dried Fruits Sector Board, emphasised that Türkiye is the world leader in the production and export of dried fruits and that Türkiye supplies high quality products to more than 150 countries around the world, benefiting from its rich agricultural heritage and sustainable farming…
