The price of Anzer honey will not increase this year.
Pointing out the epidemic about not increasing the price, producers said that they expect high yields in honey this year.
Anzer honey, which is produced between 2300-3000 altitudes in Anzer Plateau in İkizdere district of Rize province in Black Sea region, has been among the most preferred products of recent times due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Anzer honey has a high demand because it improves the immune system; The price of one kilogram is sold at 1000 TL. It is also commercialized with 1 kilogram, 500 gram and 250 gram jars.
Beekeepers have decided not to raise the kilogram price of Anzer honey this year whose kilogram was announced as 1000 liras in the period of 2019-2020 and which has no hike due to the epidemic this year.
Producers noted, “There is a big disease due to coronavirus. Therefore, we do not make any price increase in our Anzer honey for 2020-2021 as a cooperative. Although there is a great demand for our honey, considering the purchasing power and the economy, we don’t want to increase the price.”

Stating that they expect high yields in Anzer honey this year, producers underlined, “Our beekeepers are out for the new season. We believe that the new season will be productive for beekeepers. Hopefully, this year, we will bring genuine and real Anzer honey to consumers.”
