“We see women’s cooperatives as an important business model in order to empower women in agricultural production. As long as you produce, our state, my Ministry and my organisation are always ready to provide you with all kinds of opportunities and support. I believe that in the century of Türkiye, in the century of agriculture, you will add great value to production thanks to your valuable entrepreneurial spirit and determination to work,” Şahin said.

Stating that the crops they produce are natural and locally very valuable, Şahin added, “We know that marketing is as important as production. I believe that offering these healthy foods you produce to children in school canteens will be a new marketing area for you. I will try to contribute to you by making meetings between institutions in this regard. In addition, our efforts to bring together these crops you produce on a single sales platform in order to make women’s co-operatives even stronger continue. I wish you all success.”

Speaking on behalf of “Orange Hands Agricultural Cooperative”, Mualla Arıcı thanked Izmir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry for their support.
