The first virtual food exhibition organised by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB) with the supports of the Ministry of Commerce and Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM) between the dates of November 23 to 27, brought together all stakeholders in the food sector.
The Fource virtual food fair, where 53 Turkish food companies opened stands, attracted over 400 visitors from 72 countries, mainly from China, England, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the USA.
EIB Coordinator Chairman Jak Eskinazi said, “We said at the opening ceremony of the fair that The Fource would be an antidote during the pandemic period. So it happened. We organised the world’s first virtual food fair, The Fource, after Shoedex.”
“We have found an opportunity to display the valuable raw materials offered by the geography of Turkey and value-added food products once more to the whole world. Our 53 food companies opened their stands. 8 thousand visits were made to these stands. We were met with an interest beyond our expectations,” Eskinazi noted.

“As the exporter associations that takes the fastest position in digitalization processes, we actively use digital channels to turn the breakage and changing in the supply chain in our favour. With The Fource, we have established an information and trade bridge by bringing industry stakeholders together in virtual reality,” Eskinazi added.
