The Turkish Tastes Turquality project, carried out by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB) in the US market with the support of the Ministry of Trade to promote Turkish food products in the US market, was awarded the ‘Industry Partner of the Year’ award by the American Culinary Federation (ACF).
ACF National President Kimberly Brock Brown presented the award to Kazım Gürel, Board Member of Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forestry Products Exporters’ Association, in the presence of approximately 600 chefs.
On 18 September 2023, with the participation of Kazım Gürel, Member of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forestry Products Exporters’ Association, also known as Turkish Tastes Ambassador, who is responsible for the coordination of the project on behalf of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations, 3 different tasting and promotion events were held at the New Orleans Convention Center in cooperation with ACF within the scope of the ACF National Convention event.
Kazım Gürel said that between 2018 and 2022, Türkiye’s food exports to the USA soared by 96 per cent from $ 924 million to $ 1 billion 815 million and their TURQUALITY Project increased the export speed.
“As a result of the professional relations and commercial activities we have developed within the scope of the project, as well as the training activities related to our products and sectors in the project and our partner collaborations, we were awarded the ‘Industry Partner of the Year’ award by ACF as the Turkish Tastes brand,” Gürel added…
