The China International Import Fair, which will be held on November 5-10, 2023 in the People’s Republic of China, the world’s second largest economy, offers great opportunities to companies that want to get a larger share from China’s annual import of 2.7 trillion dollars.
Aegean Exporters’ Associations Coordinator Chairperson Jak Eskinazi said that 400 million middle and high-income people live in China and there are direct flights from Türkiye to 7 cities in China.
Informing that China is the second most importing country in the world, after the United States, with an annual import of 2.7 trillion dollars, Eskinazi invited Turkish exporters who want to grow in the Chinese market to the China International Import Fair, where physical participation will be held for the first time after the pandemic.
Turkish Tastes will extend to China!
Reminding that they are carrying out a TURQUALITY Project called “Turkish Tastes” to boost the export of Turkish food products with the support of our Ministry of Trade, Eskinazi said, “We are maintaining an intense promotional programme in the USA within the scope of our Turkish Tastes project. We plan to have a similar leg of this project in China. In this project, while Turkish cuisine was taught as a course at the University of Las Vegas, social media phenomena and famous chefs introduced Turkish flavours to Americans.”
“As a result of these promotional activities, our food exports to the USA soared by 100 percent from 700 million dollars to 1.4 billion dollars. We are in preparation for a project that will increase the awareness and preference of Turkish food products in China,” he added.
“The China International Import Fair is an important opportunity to surge our exports to China. We invite our Turkish exporters to take advantage of this opportunity,” he concluded…
