Izmir Agricultural Technology Centre, which was launched by Izmir Commodity Exchange with the slogan ‘Silicon Valley of Agriculture’, has been entitled to become a European Digital Innovation Centre with the ‘AgrInnovate EDIH’ consortium coordinated by ITTM Agricultural Technologies Venture Inc.
The representatives of the European Digital Innovation Centres (EIDCs), one of the most important mechanisms of the Digital Europe Programme, which will be one of the important actors in the digital transformation of Turkish industry, SMEs and public institutions, have been announced.
As a result of the European Commission’s call, five consortia from Türkiye were entitled to be included in the ADIM network of 151 centres across the EU. Izmir Agricultural Technology Centre (ITTM) took its place among these five projects.
Commenting on the fact that Izmir Agricultural Technology Centre is the only project approved from Izmir under the coordination of ITTM Agricultural Technologies Initiative Inc., Işınsu Kestelli, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Izmir Commodity Exchange and ITTM Agricultural Technologies Initiative Inc. said, ‘The European Digital Innovation Centre (ADIM), which will offer activities for all of the country under the leadership of ITTM in order to support the digital transformation of SMEs and public institutions, is expected to be an important tool in implementing EU policies and supporting the green and digital transformation of companies and the public sector.”
“AgrInnovate ADIM Project will support the digitalisation of agriculture and food sectors in Türkiye and will support SMEs and researchers in these fields to integrate advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, internet of things (IoT), blockchain, etc. into these sectors to enhance efficiency and productivity.
