Hayrettin Uçak, Chairperson of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, said that despite the pandemic, they reached a record export figure of 1 billion 40 million dollars in 2020 and that working in collaboration with public institutions had a great share in this success.
Hayrettin Uçak visited Mustafa Özen, İzmir Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, in his office.
Pointing out that exports have continued uninterruptedly in a year since the pandemic started, Uçak said, “As the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB), we acted in cooperation with all the Provincial Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry in the Aegean Region, especially in İzmir. We would like to thank all organizations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for their great support in this process.”
During the visit, Chairperson Uçak also gave information to Mustafa Özen, the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, about the “We Know the Pesticides We Use” Project initiated by the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association.
İzmir Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mustafa Özen stated that they are working in harmony with the Aegean Exporters’ Associations in order to increase the quality and quantity of agricultural production in İzmir and that the support provided by the EİB during the pandemic period is very valuable.
During the visit to İzmir Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mustafa Özen, Hayrettin Uçak, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, was accompanied by Martin Sanford, Board Member, Aegean Exporters’ Associations Chief Gökay Çelikli, Agricultural Engineer Şükrü Ercan and Member Relations Representative Burcu Kurnaz.
