The registration certificate of the local delicacies Ağzıaçık (MouthOpen), Bükme (Twist), Patlıcan Böreği (Eggplant Pastry) and Afyon Kebab, which were applied by Afyonkarahisar Municipality, was obtained.
In the statement made by the municipality, it was reported that the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT) issued a registration certificate for 4 local products.
Mayor Mehmet Zeybek stated that the approval processes have been completed after the application they have made for Ağzıaçık, Bükme, Patlıcan Böreği and Afyon Kebab.
Emphasizing that they will continue to promote Afyonkarahisar as a gastronomy city to Turkey and the world, Zeybek said, “Afyonkarahisar is a city that is the capital of history, marble, thermal and flavour. We are the 36th registered city in the world and the third in our country in the field of gastronomy by UNESCO. Our city’s flavours are registered. We are happy to receive the certificate.
