Foça (a district of İzmir province) Municipality started to work on growing new agricultural products in the district.
Some studies were carried out on the agricultural lands and islands owned by the Municipality of Foça with the technical support of Agricultural Engineer Dr. Mehmet Tutar from the Aegean Agricultural Research Institute (ETAE).
Expressing that they set out to grow medicinal and aromatic plants such as gum tree and lavender, lemon balm and sahlep, Foça Mayor Fatih Gürbüz said; “First of all, we will provide training to our producers of cooperative members operating in our region and contribute to the development of our district in agriculture.”
