DR. İBRAHİM ORTAŞ: HAPPY SOIL DAY SHOULD NOT BE FORGOTTEN

Happy Soil Festival, Which Is Forgotten…

According to the Soil Feast Law No. 4760 published in 1945, the first Sunday following June 11 is celebrated every year as the “Soil Feast”. Unfortunately, the agenda of the world as well as our country is so intense that the day of the earth has been remembered except for a few people. I don’t know, perhaps because we see so much land around us, we often know the land like fields, lands, properties, raw materials, etc. The importance of the soil, which is the guarantee of our food supply and sustainability, has not been understood as we have forgotten that it gives more meaning to our lives. Since the soil additives are not understood or taken into account sufficiently, we experience nutritional-health-environmental problems.

Soil is the Only Source of Life…

Soil is not only the environment where agriculture is done, but also life itself as the environment where the whole life takes place. It is the place where the living creatures live on the soil, where the plants stand, where people are grateful for nutrition. Soil is a great algorithm for humans in this context.

The algorithm of the soil is performed as follows. Sugar beet is sugar, economy, table, happiness and life. If one of these steps disappears, human life will also suffer. Soil is also the source of cleanliness, which is a source of belief, with the expression of Buket Uzuner, ‘Paradise and hell in their imagination, death,’ The Other World, ‘The Sub-World’ is our unknown end. ” It is the inspiration of philosophy as a whole on the production of soil and the values it adds to life. For this reason, soil is agriculture, beyond being an environment in which living beings live and feed, it reflects all fields of physics, chemistry, biology, psychology, sociology, philosophy, literature, economy, law, art and all science. As Behçet Kemal ÇAĞLAR (1940’s) stated in the March of Agriculture, he says, “This lineage is the first human race that makes people human.” If we think philosophically, all the tools and equipment he developed from the nourishment of human existence were provided from the soil. Soil is still the biggest food and raw material provider environment.
