All work on the largest size electric tractor tested by President Tayyip Erdoğan has been completed.
Önder Yol, Chairman of the Board of ZY Electric Tractor, stated that pre-orders have started to be taken for the tractors planned to start mass production in June and said, “Serious sales have been made.”
Önder Yol, Chairman of the Board of ZY Electric Tractor, said that the “Electric Tractor Project” is the project of the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli.
Indicating that they are running the project jointly with Ziraat Bank, Yol noted that they previously planned to start mass production at the end of 2020, but they experienced some difficulties due to the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic.
Yol also pointed out that there are three types of tractors produced in Turkey that are garden, medium and large sizes.
Yol mentioned that they will produce electric tractors suitable for their usage areas. Giving the information that they are planning to make the small one with 130-140 horsepower, Yol added, “This tractor can be used both in the garden and in the places where medium-sized ones work.”
