The Eastern Black Sea Region, under the jurisdiction of Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Associations (DKİB) Secretariat General, saw exports totaling 929,980,511 dollars in the January-July 2025 period.
In the first seven months of 2025, exports from the Eastern Black Sea Region included 716,816,000 dollars from Trabzon, 115,465,000 dollars from Rize, 56,498,000 dollars from Gümüşhane and 41,099,000 dollars from Artvin province.
Stating that compared to the same period of the previous year, Saffet Kalyoncu, Chair of the DKİB, said, “Exports from the region’s provinces soared by: While exports from Gümüşhane soared by 44 percent, those from Trabzon decreased by 1 percent, those from Rize by 6 percent and those from Artvin by 17 percent.”
“The sectors with the highest exports from Trabzon, Rize, Artvin and Gümüşhane provinces between January and July 2025 were: Hazelnuts with 434,075,000 dollars, Fisheries and Livestock Products with 117,023,000 dollars, Minerals and Metals with 114,793,000 dollars and Fresh Fruits and Vegetables with 85,220,000 dollars,” he noted.
“In the first seven months of 2025, our Eastern Black Sea Region exported to 130 different countries, with the top five export destinations being Italy, the Russian Federation, Georgia, Germany and the People’s Republic of China,” he added…
