Bodrum, renowned worldwide tourism centre of Muğla region, is celebrating the naturalness and flavour of the Aegean this weekend! The 6th Bitter Herb Festival will bring together nature and gastronomy lovers in Ortakent village on 5-6 April. Organised by Ortakent Yahşi Mansion Development and Beautification Association (OYDER) with the main sponsorship of FDC Yachting, the festival is also supported by Muğla Governorship, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Bodrum District Governorship, Bodrum Municipality, Bodrum Chamber of Commerce and Bodrum Chamber of Craftsmen.

Aegean’s Natural Flavours in Ortakent This Weekend!
Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the festival, where medicinal herbs grown in Bodrum’s fertile soil such as bitter herb, hemlock, delikenker, radish grass, foxglove and island lettuce will be available directly from producers. Olive oil, çökelek cheese, jams, soaps and handcrafted products will also be on sale…
Bodrum Chefs, Workshops, Talks!
During the festival, Bodrum chefs and gastronomy experts will organise food workshops and tasting events. Aegean herb culture and healthy nutrition will be discussed in the dialogues.

Two Days Full of Music and Entertainment…
Local and national artists will give concerts on the festival stage. Folk dance performances and traditional Aegean shows will bring the festival enthusiasm to the peak.
OYDER President Öncel Erkal said that this year, the festival hosts Bodrum chefs and our local flavours will be cooked.
“We have worked diligently to have the products that keep our culture alive in our festival. Local products and producers, delicious dishes produced by housewives, organic products have become a part of this festival. All our people are invited to this feast of flavour,” he said.

Field Coordinator Meral Kurt stated that they worked meticulously to make the festival experience unforgettable and added, “We have completed all our preparations for this feast of flavour. All of our stands will be full. There is a different texture and flavour in every corner.”
