Birol Celep, Vice Chair of Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) and Chair of Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, said, “We expect the crops in Turkish Grain Board (TMO) stocks to be put on the market with an affordable price policy, regardless of commercial concerns.”
Indicating that TMO needs to continue to be the guide, Birol Celep noted, “Furthermore TMO should explain its purchasing and pricing policy before the season starts.”
“Traceability is very important in exports. Therefore, the raw material must be traceable. It is also very important to estimate the yield correctly. A deviation of 20-25 percent is expected in the seedless raisin yield estimation this season. Yield estimation studies should be done much more carefully and in a way that will give more accurate results,” Birol Celep added…
