Bingöl Honey wins gold medal in London!

Şenli family, who are engaged in beekeeping at the foot of Şeytan (Devil) Mountains in Karlıova district of Eastern Anatolia’s Bingöl province, won a gold medal in the competition organised in London, the capital of England, with the honey they produced. Bingöl honey is targeted for export with the European Union registration.

Şenli family, who is engaged in beekeeping at the foothills of Şeytan (Devil) Mountains in Karlıova district of Bingöl province, won a gold medal with the honey they produced in the competition organised with the participation of producers from 54 countries in London, the capital of England.

Bingöl Honey, which is registered as Türkiye’s EU-registered honey, is produced in 174 thousand hives by 1300 beekeepers registered in the region.

The Şenli family, who has been continuing beekeeping as an ancestral profession for years, also works hard to produce the highest quality honey.

Led by 56-year-old Turan Şenli, the beekeeper family produces honey in the rich flora of the region in Ortaköy, at an altitude of 2,250 metres at the foot of the Şeytan (Devil) Mountains.

The family, which has about 2 thousand hives, applied to the ‘London Honey Awards Competition’ on 10 May to show the naturalness of the honey they produce in the international arena.
