The Aegean Seafood and Animal Products Exporters Association, which meets the protein needs of three meals on tables around the world, single-handedly accounted for 47 percent of the sector’s 382 million dollars export value across Türkiye in October, breaking its monthly record with 179 million dollars in exports.

The Aegean Seafood and Animal Products Exporters’ Association achieved a 15 percent increase in its exports in October 2025 compared to October 2024, when exports stood at 156 million dollars. In October, exports of fishery products and animal products across Türkiye surged by 4 percent, rising from 366 million dollars to 382 million dollars.
Aegean exporters, who accounted for 42 percent of the country’s seafood and animal products exports in October 2024, ramped up this share to 47 percent in October 2025.
Bedri Girit, Chair of the Aegean Seafood and Animal Products Exporters Association, emphasised that they achieved an export increase above the Turkish average in October 2025 and in the January-October period.

Providing information about the breakdown of their exports in October by sub-sector, Girit said, “Our fishery products sector continued to be our pride with exports worth 143 million dollars. The aquatic products sector alone accounted for 80 percent of our Association’s total exports.”
“Our poultry sector achieved exports worth 27.6 million dollars, including 14.5 million dollars in eggs and 13.2 million dollars in poultry meat. Our dairy and dairy products sector exported 4 million dollars, while our honey exports amounted to 1.4 million dollars. We earned 3 million dollars in foreign exchange from our exports of red meat, offal and live animals,” he added…
