The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the December 2022 Milk and Dairy Products Production data. Accordingly, 796 thousand 400 tonnes of cow milk was collected by commercial dairy enterprises. The amount of cow milk collected by commercial dairy enterprises was 0.4 percent in December compared to the same month of the previous year; In the January-December period, it decreased by 3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

Yoghurt production soared by 9.4 percent, drinking milk production by 6 percent and ayran production by 3.5 percent in December compared to the same month of the previous year.

Butter production decreased by 16.7 percent and cow cheese production by 0.9 percent. In the January-December period, butter production rose by 12.8 percent, ayran production by 6.9 percent and yogurt production by 3.8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
