Türkiye exported 46.4 million dollars worth of tangerines in October 2024, while in October 2025, it ramped up its exports by a record 144 percent to 113.3 million dollars.

Tangerine exports reached 58,000 tonnes in October 2024, while in October 2025, they jumped by 90 percent to 110,000 tonnes.
Tangerine exports soared by 34 percent from 281 million dollars to 375.5 million dollars in the January-October period of 2025. Meanwhile, tangerines maintained their export leadership among fresh fruit and vegetable products.

Hayrettin Uçak, Chairman of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, stated that Türkiye’s citrus harvest declined by 12.4 percent in 2025, falling from 5 million 481 thousand tonnes to 4 million 801 thousand tonnes. Despite the decline in citrus harvest, he noted that there was a 7 percent increase in tangerine production, with 2.13 million tonnes of mandarins produced in 2025, leading to an upward trend in mandarin exports in October…

Pointing out that, in addition to the increase in the quantity and foreign exchange value of tangerine exports, there has also been an increase in the average export price, he added, “Our tangerine exports showed a 41 percent increase in dollar terms in October this year. We expect a similar picture to continue in November and December. Our target for tangerine exports at the end of 2025 is to reach 500 million dollars.”
