A push for sustainability in Aegean fresh fruit and vegetable exports!

A three-pronged sustainability initiative from the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association

The Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association becomes the leader in plant product exports in the Aegean Region with exports totalling 1 billion 232 million dollars in 2025.

The Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association has placed sustainability at the heart of its activities. To strengthen sustainability in exports, it has launched three key projects: “We Know the Pesticides We Use”, “Identification and Reduction of Food Losses” and the “Third-Generation Agricultural Entrepreneurship Training Programme”.

Hayrettin Uçak, Deputy Coordinator Chair of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations and Chair of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, stated that through these sustainability-themed projects, they aim to improve pesticide control, reduce food losses and encourage young entrepreneurs to enter the agricultural sector…
